Caprese Sandwich in the Blackstone Pizza Oven

There’s nothing better than fresh, melty mozzarella paired with juicy tomatoes, roasted red peppers, and basil on toasted French bread. This Caprese Sandwich is simple, light, and packed with flavor. The Blackstone Pizza Oven makes it quick and perfectly toasted, but you can make it in any oven or air fryer.

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf French bread, cut in half
  • Mayonnaise (optional)
  • 2 medium tomatoes, thickly sliced
  • 8 oz fresh mozzarella, thickly sliced
  • Salt and cracked black pepper, to taste
  • ½ cup roasted red peppers (jarred), sliced into strips
  • 6–8 large fresh basil leaves, sliced into thin strips

Instructions

  1. Slice the French bread in half lengthwise. Spread a light layer of mayonnaise if desired.
